‘Wave Goodbye’
‘Wave Goodbye’ captures the beauty of a quiet shoreline, inspired by a place I visited with someone I once loved so much. The soft blues of the sea, the warmth of the sand, and the calm horizon hold the essence of a shared moment; so peaceful, though fleeting. The ripples and painted circles in the sand feel to me like echoes of laughter and conversation on that day, gently stirred by the tide. You may notice a lot of circles in my paintings, I like to use them as a reminder that everything will always continue and carry on, without beginning or end in a cyclical pattern. While the title hints at parting, it’s not just about saying goodbye, it’s about showing gratitude for what was. I want to honour the places in the world that will always hold the memory of us, even long after we’ve gone.
